This lack of friction funny enough is why I actually have trouble caring about recent pokemon games. I think people REALLY underestimate the value of something being a slight pain in the ass to do. It doesn't have to beat you over the head with it or anything, but if something becomes too easy that its a foregone conclusion, then the question is why bother.
