The most common symptom of STIs is having no symptoms at all. Anybody who has sex can get STIs, and some can be spread even if there’s only skin-on-skin action between genitals without passing fluids. Testing is the only way to know for sure if someone has an STI.

You could try not having sex with people you don't want to have the kids of. Just a thought.
