When asked which tasks each company generally delegated to generative AI tools, the most common responses were analysing user preferences and predicting user behaviour. As well as the companies making the games, the survey also questioned a number of users who played them. They too were asked about the use of generative AI in making the games they play. According to the survey, a number of respondents said they were concerned that games infringing on copyright were more likely to appear in the future, and that it seemed likely all the games in the future would be similar to each other.

Sonic Forces is bad but through being so bad they accidentally created a really layered villain character through Infinite. He presents himself as a stone cold badass, talks big shit; and acts all dark and brooding like he has a tragic backstory. But it turns out his powers aren’t even real and he’s just throwing a temper tantrum over a single fight with Shadow that didn’t go his way. His character is a genius deconstruction on insecure people who try to act tough, threatening & badass in real life and they made it completely by accident. I love that so much about him and like to interpret the little dude that way!! It’d be awesome to see him go through a redemption arc exploring this sort of stuff if he weren’t fucking dead!

--Are there any plans for further communication with fans online as a means of delivering news, such as through livestreaming (example: Final Fantasy's Letter to the Producer/Active Time Report) or the Message to the Kingdom blog? Nomura: Unfortunately, that is not possible for us. The reason for this is because of the risks involved when we actually do livestreaming for Kingdom Hearts. While we are able to hold livestreams frequently for Final Fantasy, it is a much more different process with due consideration to Disney. Even participating in Square Enix Presents here at E3 is a very delicate situation due to the risk of revealing information accidentally
