Anita Charlesworth: We need an NHS where we are much clearer about what the goal is ... then we need to devolve and empower so that people locally have the tools to make the change.
I think this broad idea that we need to spend more on the NHS is misleading and is potentially quite dangerous ... I think it's about the mix of how we spend the money, not adding more money.
We are very much hoping that this forthcoming Budget can actually reduce the amount of uncertainty that we've seen of late.
If there's a credible long-term plan to raise the productive output of the country, then that seeps into the tone of the business environment.
