We are transferring trillions of dollars from young people to old people, yet wonder why young men feel anxious.

I like Scott alot but differ with him many times. This is one. Our govt policies and corporate welfare have contributed greatly to the big income divide that is literally destroying this country. It is because of favoritism for the elites. Young people dont need him to speak for them either.

Are they so anxious that they’ll register to vote? As an old person, I know I am.

This is spot on. The transfer of wealth from the young to old must stop

Squeezing that lemon 🍋😉

ProfG - the young women are anxious too - perhaps more so -- given the retroactive attitudes of the current regime with all of their intentions to curb their rights to their own BODIEs - much less MONEY....

You imply all seniors are rich. Many of us are barely getting by. You often paint with that stroke.

That 40% being spend on those over 60 is probably social security and Medicare and one of those people have paid into all their lives. My question has always been,don’t these young men have parents that raise them and teach them about life not being totally fair.

Such bullshit. This is the kind of crap that causes Nazi type revolutions, keep feeding that narrative and old people will end up homeless and institutions. The wealth gap is the problem, not age differences.
Phil Anderson · 25d
Open your eyes Scott. There are millions of us over the age of 50 who worked hard but still ended up working poor, and will retire into poverty. Why? Because the ultra rich rigged the system against us all. Now they are pitting us all against one another. Stop feeding that fire.

It is reliving the past. And we know what happens before the end arrives. Rise up! We need to get rid of Trump and his Neo-Nazi Klan (lead by Miller). Time for them to be taken out.

Scott is a huge fan of young men joining the IOF to kill Palestinians.

I am not seeing a super old trillionaire - or for that matter not all the billionaires are all that old....some are, not all
Viola Notnats · 25d
Please don't include ALL "old people." We have lived paycheck to paycheck all our lives and are retiring in poverty on social security we spent our lives paying into. Please qualify that to RICH people.

You really hate Social Security, don't you.

1/2 Removing income caps on social security tax will generate more tax, but the real issue is utilization of existing tax collection. How many times do we see governments (local, county, state, federal) publishing or committing to doing more with less?

Girl dad here Young women feel anxious as well. I understand the issues that young men face, but we have built an economy that is more harsh for women yet we seem more concerned about young men?
@mtrunnr.bsky.social · 24d
Men are too emotional even when everything is rigged in their favor. Let the women take over. So sick of this narritive.
Four Legs Good · 24d
I dunno, I’m old and no one is transferring money to me.
@starjet.bsky.social · 25d
Which rights did the MEN in this country lose in the past five years? And you can't acknowledge the women are more anxious than the men. 🙄
@leg0301.bsky.social · 25d
Good God. You don't understand that us old people were young once too? We funded "old" people back then, and 50 years later we are still working, still funding, with the promise we would be paid back. Now as we approach 70 years old you want to reneg on that promise? FU.

Without social security the middle class must take in aging parents. Gen X already doing eldercare won’t even receive what they’ve paid in. There are tons of Boomers, that’s why the number looks big, but Grandma living on $2K/month didn’t break the economy, rich people telling you to resent her did.
@randolphscott.bsky.social · 24d
The problem isn’t that older people are getting Social Security and the healthcare they deserve…it’s that those very same people are voting to make sure no one else is. Instead of spending money to help younger people, those the Boomers are voting for wage war and give tax breaks to billionaires.
