The European Commission today finalised decisions under the Digital Markets Act requiring Google to transmit users’ search data without consent, and to provide third-parties unfettered access to app data, messages, location signals, pictures, and microphone use.

The decisions go far beyond what is necessary and proportionate to achieve the objectives of the DMA, and will likely be challenged in Court.
