I’m not even sure what the game’s current state is in 2026. Can you meaningfully play this game or is it still unconnected systems?

Oh you can definitely play if you’re prepared to be patient at times. It’s still in alpha (buggy) but there are tons of connected systems in various stages of implementation/development, and a boatload of interesting content now. It’s all quite seamless when the seams hold together.
