I just wanted to watch cause Endfield comes out tomorrow and I wanna know more about the world before I delve into it, and now I feel like putting myself in a giant blender and turning it on. The amount of pain they go through trying to save people in a world that's hellbent on violence is so fucking poetic and beautiful and truthfully, I'd like to have that strength in my life. The sheer power in holding true to your ideals cannot be understated, and choosing to let go of hate in favour of building a future where everyone can live in harmony is such a beautiful thing, especially when you're part of a group that people in power are in favour of eliminating. Even if there is no happy ending for me, I would like to be able to march to the end knowing I stayed true, because this anime reminded me that just because a story ends tragically, doesn't mean that it wasn't worth telling. Not everyone gets to have a peaceful end, but that doesn't mean that the life they've lived is meaningless. If anything, it is only in the face of sheer meaninglessness that true meaning can be derived because it is a meaning that you've created and taken on yourself. I'm gonna go vomit and take a long shower. Be well.
