The Green Party conference has voted in favour of a motion opposing nationalisation of “the five largest energy supply companies”. Despite the party currently having over 215,000 members, the motion passed with just 478 members voting in favour of it. 192 opposed it, and 15 didn’t vote. Polls have consistently shown that the vast majority of the UK agrees with public ownership of energy companies, and that this opinion has increased in recent years. This is in no small part because of the devastation of the cost of living crisis.

In August 1910, an International Socialist Women's Conference was organized ahead of the general meeting of the Socialist Second International in Copenhagen, Denmark. Inspired in part by the American socialists, German delegates Clara Zetkin, Käte Duncker, Paula Thiede, and others proposed the establishment of an annual "Women's Day", although no date was specified. The 100 delegates, representing 17 countries, agreed with the idea as a strategy to promote equal rights, including women's suffrage. The gnoll replies: "I guess I have just picked stuff from all over the place if I like the vibe of it" She goes on to say: "Though I'm not sure where I first got the idea that I could wear what I liked..."
