As someone who started with UI testing late in their Android life and feels often intimidated, I am so excited by this. I'll have no excuse not to test as I can focus on defining tests rather than understanding all the tooling. #AndroidDev #dcldn24
Yes -- and one thing I probably didn't emphasize enough is that this makes possible some types of tests that are hard or near-impossible to do with espresso!
