flying high, a webcomic by queen melodis, epilogue the page is styled like a letter writted by nomi directed at kalla. the text reads as follows: Dear Kalla, How are you? Earlier today I was at a future flyer's club meeting. I'm proud to say that I've been practicing a lot, and I have been able to stay in the air for a few minutes at a time. Ashen has been teaching me to speak better with a syrinx as well. My new friends are showing me a lot of kindness and support, but I sometimes feel like they just want 'Tanja' back. I was too trusting before, and it led to me getting birdnapped. Thank you, once again, for bringing me out of there. If by some chance this letter finds you, I want you to know that I miss you. Wherever you are, I hope you're doing well. - Nomi the pictures show nomi writing said letter, her flying, her talking to ashen, and a picture of kalla the changeling standing determinedly in front of a gathering of other therians with a flag displaying the therian theta-delta symbol on it.

I'm... gh..." before turning away fully and walking towards the door. "just... don't look for me." tanja tries to chase after her, also crying, but kalla leaves the room and slams the door behind her.

"after everything I went through... after everything i did... all for you... you're just going to give them power over you like this?" ashen, offscreen, tries to stop her, saying "kalla please-" but kalla interrupts them. "SHUT UP!" she shouts, "you're a fool, bird. how are you gonna move on like that!? you have to reclaim yourself! you-" kalla stops. nomi, in front of her, is terrified and shaking.

I'd r... rather be c-called n... n... nomi now. the name erik...ka gave me. going th... through that ch... changed me. i'm... n-not the s... same b...bird i w-was before. so i c...can't use my old n...name." everyone looks shocked and dismayed. tanja, confused, just asks "what?" kalla closes her eyes, and growls "i'm done."

"The truth of it is we all hate that rotdamned zoo, and each of us have fantasized about doing what you did, but we're frozen by caution which you clearly didn't show. Tanja is free, which is important, but I stayed up all night weighing whether I should be sending casualties to the hospital, or cleaning fatalities out of my truck." kalla's tears continue to fall. tanja looks on, somewhat confused.

queen melodis - mistress of disguise! queen melodis turns from a blue earth pony with a sunset coloured mane into a tall changeling queen with a pink mane and a crown. all the while she says "you all thought i was sunset melody, sweet, innocent, talented musician, humble... but i was really queen melodis! and nopony suspected a thing! i'm just that good!" twilight sparkle says "we know. we all knew. everypony knew." queen melodis looked shocked and just says "o-oh."
