a late afternoon picture of the mountains in the distance & clouds spreading across the sky. in the foreground the road crosses the right corner of the frame diagonally. behind that there is land with dirt, yellowing dried grass, and dark green scrub brush. before the horizon there are tiny specks of a few houses & buildings. at the horizon are relatively low mountains silhouetted by the sun behind them; the closer one is darker than the further one. the sky is sky blue but covered in stratus, stratocumulus, cirrus, & altocumulus clouds showing the sky through the gaps. the sun illuminates where thr clouds disappear beyond the horizon in the center of the frame in bright yellow fading into lighter yellow & orange. the light stretches off to both sides, fading into more pastel tones where it is visible behind the clouds. there is the very faint ghost of a reflected image superimposed where you can see the seats of the semi truck reflected in the window glass.
a grey-brown tabby cat, with blue eyes, tabby markings on her face, and a lighter colour whisker pads, chin, and chest. she is behind a window pane that has a very faint reflection superimposed on top of the photo, and the window pane is significantly dirty. the cat is sitting up, looking down out of the window.
five paddles of a small cactus in almost macro view, with the body of the cactus & other paddles out of focus on the background. there are very fine reddish spines growing in clusters on each paddle, & at the tip of the paddle the barest pink beginning of a flower can be seen.
the chandelier prop from phantom of the opera put on by the pantages in july of 2026. the chandelier is ornate gold & glass, with four rings of lights giving it a spherical shape. there are scalloped strings of glass beads along the bottom of the biggest central ring, & strings of glass beads forming the curves between the first & second rings. then between the second & third ring the glass beads form a smaller bowl emanating from the central column. from the third ring to the fourth/upper ring the retreat inwards with a concave curve to them. in the background on the left is the red curtain and the drapes at the sides. directly behind the chandelier is the column to the right of the stage, which is ornate & visually very busy behind the chandelier. to the right of that is darkness creates by black curtains at the edge of the theatre.

before the show started. a wide angle view showing the people in their seats in the audience, the stage to the left, and the absolutely amazing ceiling of the theatre which i cannot describe, with the chandelier prop from the show visible before it descended.

a juvenile lesser goldfinch sits in the square of a rusted chainlink fence. the bird is just over half the height of the diamond. it has a fawn and brown head and wings with a yellow breast, & the wings are still slightly blurred in motion behind the fence. it faces to the right & behind the frame, sitting in the lower left third, yellow beak slightly visible. one foot wraps around the fence where the wires cross. in the background, which is gently blurred from the camera aperture, there is a desaturated blue building with three high windowpanes. the middle windowpane is obscured behind the bird. the building has a flat roof, & the leaves of a tree are visible through the bokeh above & behind the building on the right side of the frame. the sky is a monotonous cloudy grey.
