Back before she got arthritis, Vladdie was a prolific butt-biter. If she saw a butt, she'd go for it. One time, Jon was squatting in the floor of my old apartment with heavily varnished wood floors. The receptionist’s gift was from the mail clerk, and what she unwrapped was a big plastic penis with feet at the bottom, perpendicular to the shaft, and a wind-up key behind them. Unbelieving, and unwisely, she took it out of the box. It must have been packaged already wound up, because the feet started flapping as soon they were freed. Still unbelieving, and even more unwisely, she set her gift on the table. Everyone stared in stunned horror as the flapping feet propelled the erect plastic penis forward in little jumps and it chittered its way across the table to one of the senior partners. There were no further Secret Santa exchanges.
