"An irascible old farmer named Hu discovered one morning that his best rooster had flown into a tall tree beside his farm pond and wouldn't come down, so he went to his neighbor, Wil, and asked for help. The men had never gotten along, but Wil finally agreed, so the two men went to the pond and began climbing the tree, Hu first. But if someone were to hold up a piece of white cloth and ask whether it was black or white, someone who had sworn the Three Oaths would be capable of saying that it was black as a matter of sarcasm. But not if, for example, the person asking the question was blind and thus might well take the statement for truth rather than sarcasm.

mistborn • 10y く AMOL: Director's Cut RoS scene one: After chapter five. Ros scene two: After chapter nine. RoS scene three: After Chapter eleven. Ros scene four: After chapter thirteen. That was my original order in the second draft of the book. (Third is where this sequence got cut.) It's possible I'd have shifted it during editing, if it hadn't gotten cut--I think it might work better with each scene a two or three chapters back in the book. But this is how it was originally sequenced.
