I still don’t fully know where this lyric came from…or what it fully means. “Shadowed and shone to guide them.” “For one, for all, for life, for long.” More than any other song on the project, this one is a great mystery to me. #acoustic #songwriter #nashvillemusic #ripplesofthepast #folksoul

But I’ve come to develop my own personal interpretation, and it brings me great comfort when I hear it and sing it. Perhaps that’s the power of poetry: finding answers and illumination in the abstract, between the lines.
