A green bottle sawfly on a white flower. It has red eyes and an iridescent green body. It may be common and often an irritant but it’s still amazing to look at.
A six spot burnet moth (I think!) on a greater knapweed flower. The moth is long and thin with predominantly black colouring with several (more than 6!) bright red spots. The knapweed flower is purple.
Oedemera nobilis, also known as the false oil beetle, thick-legged flower beetle or swollen-thighed beetle. A green beetle on a flower, its rear legs are unusual as they have very prominent bulges, as if it had body builder-level musculature. A second, unknown beetle is also on the flower but not in focus.
