NJ Bike: Interesting little update on ebike NJMVC. No Fees until Jan 19, 2027. Renewal $8 now: The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) has waived all examination, registration, and licensing fees until January 19, 2027. After this date, annual registration fees won't be $15, but only $8... If you are stopped by an officer, just show them proof that you have an appointment. Keep backing up your appointment until January 2027.

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed chip sealing of Montgomery Road. Montgomery Road is one of the area's historic gravel roads and is an important part of the rural character that makes Hillsborough and the surrounding region unique. These roads reflect the agricultural heritage and scenic landscape that residents and visitors alike value and seek to preserve. In addition, Montgomery Road has long been a cherished route within the local cycling community. Gravel roads such as Montgomery Road are integral to classic area cycling events and rides that attract participants from throughout New Jersey and beyond. The road's existing character contributes to the region's reputation as a destination for cycling and outdoor recreation. Converting this historic gravel road through chip sealing would permanently alter a distinctive feature of our community and diminish an important aspect of the area's identity. Once these roads are changed, their historic and recreational value cannot easily be restored. I respectfully urge the Township to preserve Montgomery Road in its current form and consider the long-term cultural, historical, and recreational benefits that this road provides to residents and visitors. The VeloPlus wheelchair transport bike is designed for transporting people, who can remain seated in their own wheelchair, by cycle. The passenger is not required to be transferred between the wheelchair and the cycle. The co-rider can be wheeled on to the plateau of the cycle easily without having to be lifted. The tilted ramp makes it easy to roll the wheelchair on to the wheel-chair bike and fasten it properly with the wheelchair lock. The optional winch system makes this even easier. Instead of the driver using his or her own power to push the wheelchair user including the wheelchair up or down, the electric winch takes over. The wheelchair transport bike has a modern design with oversized rear frame, unique riding characteristics and is stable. The low position of the chair on the bicycle makes the ride easier and gives a lower centre of gravity. The widely placed and extra steered front-wheels ensure a reduced turning radius and stability.
