This is a financial coup-in-progress, designed to consolidate power and neutralize democratic resistance by controlling economic lifelines. The fact that they are moving this quickly suggests they are attempting to entrench their control before effective opposition can form. If the unelected group gains full access to Treasury's payment system, the government’s ability to function independently of the executive branch could be permanently compromised. This is not just a theoretical concern - it is happening now.
It's ridiculous that we pay massive piles of taxes for defense against fascism, if it's not used for that when we need it. We voted for that defense + accountability under Constitutional law, in 2020. That vote counted through the last day of the term. We trusted a leader with a mandate for defense who had the power to execute it. If our Defense failed to defend us, so WE now have to do it, let's take back our defense $. Let's demand "defense choice vouchers." The "public defense system" failed.

While we can dismantle it, it's important to include that the passing of generations IS a "force of nature," resulting in cycles like seasons which bring it back. This is winter. We have to struggle to survive it now, because some of us thought winter had been defeated, & didn't respect that it IS a recurring "force of nature" requiring awareness to prepare for. "Never again" isn't "we're powerful enough to stop winter," but "we're powerful enough to prepare to minimize next winter's effects."
