I love the low budget damaged cymbal. In my first band the mic was self made from a pipe and an old hairdryer stand. When I was young, I had time, energy, but no money. Then I started working, I had energy, money, but no time. Now I am old, I have money, time, but no energy.

Ditto. I also had a cymbal with a long bent crack in it. It made a really good rattling sustained splash sound.I restricted its use for special occassions.馃榿

My first iteration of a band we used my mom's pots and pans found in the basement. Made pretty great sounds, actually.
