I agree, makes it much more effective for classic search-style “queries”
In fairness Perplexity's success here may be due to their aggressive (read: in violation of robots.txt) scraping, but being able to type "what's this watchamacallit that's kind of like this other thing?" into a search field and get a result back is just great.
