Quick Google search asking if SARS research was used to create the Covid vaccine. The reply: Yes, prior research on the original SARS coronavirus provided a vital head start for creating CoVID-19 vaccines, specifically by identifying the spike protein as the primary target for neutralizing antibodies and establishing foundational coronavirus structural data. (Pubmed Central) Key Contributions of Prior SARS Research Spike Protein Target: Studies on the 2002 outbreak showed that the viral surface spike (S) protein was responsible for cell entry and triggered protective immune responses, making it the logical target for SARS-COV-2 vaccine designs.

A strange beetle, approx 1-1/2” oblong, it has two large black spots rimmed with white, resembling eyes, just south of its actual head, long lower body, mostly dark or black with some gray and many speckled whitish spots. It’s a top-down pic of it, on the ground with dried oak leaf litter.
