Hitman: Contracts (as its father before it) is a highly intellectual game, which explains why no reviewer got it. "You can blast through this game on Normal difficulty in, like, four hours! What's with that?" Um... maybe, just maybe, you're not <i>supposed</i> to be running and gunning through this game? You've been provided with a series of innovative and rewarding gameplay experiences and you're trying to play them like fucking <i>Halo</i>. I watch with dismay as Cro-Magnon man is provided a plate of caviar and smears it all over himself to keep out the chill. It took me six hours to dominate the first three missions at the top stealth level on the top difficulty setting and <i>I'd do it again</i>. Yes, the AI can be a bit wonky in firefights, but if you're in a situation where you're exchanging fire with a security detail you've already failed miserably.
