April 7, 2026 Iranian-Affiliated Cyber Actors Exploit Programmable Logic Controllers Across US Critical Infrastructure The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), CISA, National Security Agency (NSA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Energy (DOE), and United States Cyber Command – Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF), are urgently warning U.S. organizations of ongoing cyber exploitation of internet-connected operational technology (OT) devices, including Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley-manufactured programmable logic controllers (PLCs), across multiple U.S. critical infrastructure sectors.

The DEA memo, marked "sensitive but unclassified," was among more than 3 million pages of documents recently released by the Justice Department.

I’m happy to offer the help of my linguistic expertise in specifying the interpretation of a statute you have inquired about. My comments refer to how a literate English speaker would interpret the statute, based on research on the syntax and semantics of verbs. I consider myself an expert on this topic, having written about it in many scholarly articles and in 3 books: Learnability and Cognition (MIT Press, 1989), Lexical and Conceptual Semantics (coedited with Beth Levin; Blackwell, 1992), and The Stuff of Thought: Language as a Window into Human Nature (Viking, 2007).
The statute at issue is as follows:
Whoever, using the mail or any facility or means of interstate or foreign commerce, or within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States knowingly persuades, induces, entices, or coerces any individual who has not attained the age of 18 years, to engage in prostitution or any sexual activity for which any person can be charged with a criminal offense, or attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title and imprisoned not less than ten years or for life.
Your question, as I understand it, pertains to the temporal & causal relationship between the person’s use of the mail (or other interstate/foreign instrument) and his knowingly persuading (inducing, enticing, etc.) the minor. Omitting the phrase about US jurisdiction, and simplifying the various disjuncts and subordinate clauses so that we may concentrate on the semantics, the relevant part of the statute is effectively this:
Whoever, using the mail, knowingly persuades a minor to engage in a criminal sexual activity, shall be fined and imprisoned.
So the question is: does this statute apply (1) to someone who uses the mail, and then persuades a minor to engage in sex, or does it apply only to (2) someone who uses the mail in order to persuade a minor to engage in sex?

Last week I received a phone call from Dr. Greg Bledsoe who was a witness in LR public corruption case in LR. Bledsoe
called because in 2002 he was a physician assigned with secret service detail of former President Bill Clinton when
they took trip on Jeffrey Epstein's plane. Bledsoe said he did not see any criminal activity that he was aware of but there
were a number of girls on the plane all who appeared to be adults in their early 20s.
Epstein's assistant was on plane
Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstien's girlfriend was on plane. Maxwell appeared to be in position over other girls on plane & was directing the girls. Girls deferred to Maxwell.
Bledsoe described one night while on plane, he was sitting on a couch with other secret service agents when Bledsoe got up to sit on another couch across room with a sliding glass door adjacent to area with couches. Glass door was slightly ajar. was just inside the room and when
she saw Bledsoe sit down on this couch she abruptly closed the door. Bledsoe didn't know what or anything was going on
behind the door but got an eerie feeling about it. Later on that night Epstein came out of the room with a young female
and Epstein massaged her butt for a minute or so. Bledsoe described this as awkward and creepy.
Bledsoe stated the trip was a 10 day trip where they first flew to the Azores Islands and later to several countries in Africa.
Kevin Spacey was also on the plane and a number of other millionaires and billionaires.
Bledsoe recalled one of the 20 something year old girls on the plane was a masseuse who later got a small role in one of
the hangover movies. Bledsoe remembered another 20 something year old girl was a former model who has since
become an executive at a model agency. Bledsoe did not recall their names.

Thursday, Adm. Frank “Mitch” Bradley acknowledged that the two survivors of the military’s initial strike were in no position to make a distress call in his briefings to lawmakers.

The initial hit on the vessel, believed to be carrying cocaine, killed nine people immediately and split the boat in half, capsizing it and sending a massive smoke plume into the sky, the sources who viewed the video as part of the briefings said. Part of the surveillance video was a zoomed-in, higher-definition view of the two survivors clinging to a still-floating, capsized portion, they said.

For a little under an hour — 41 minutes, according to a separate US official — Bradley and the rest of the US military command center discussed what to do as they watched the men struggle to overturn what was left of their boat, the sources said.
