Some jerk ran a red light on University Avenue and hit my car. I'm okay, but the automated claim thing thinks it might be totaled. It's 9 years old, but it only had ~43K miles and the battery had considerably less due to the recall. Liked this car a lot so I'm really bummed.

I'm sorry that happened to you. About 2 months ago I was driving to a local park to walk. I decided to take a less familiar route directly through town. I became a bit confused as to where I was and made more confused by an intersection that had 3 main roads

Something similar happened to me. Older car, over 100k miles, but carefully maintained by my in-laws and had new tires. Ask your insurance company about keeping it as a salvage vehicle. They will give you less money, you keep the vehicle and get it repaired.

Seems like everyone bought up all the cheaper used Bolts in the area too (presumably due to high fuel prices). There's only 2 total on the local Craigslist and they're both 2023 models and priced accordingly. KBB value is substantially less than any Bolt I can find nearby

I doubt that it is totaled with that low of mileage and that little damage, even if the frame rails have a small bend. I worked at an auto body shop for many years and have repaired cars through insurance that had way more damage that were worth less. Tell the insurance to send out an agent.

Man, You had the best color too! I'm so sorry. I hope it can be repaired, but if not may the replacement be an upgrade worth the hassle. Consider the Kona and Niro EVs if it comes to that, also off lease Ariyas. A truck merged into my electric converted miata on Sat so I FEEL for you my dude. 😢

I had a sideswipe on my 91 Nissan truck. I ended up having to fix it myself due to same issue.

Oh. 😢😢 A Volt. We loved ours too. 2013 we finally sold to a collector. So bummed we couldn’t replace it. But we now love our 2023 Prius Prime.
