My deaf, autistic, and epileptic daughter relies on Medicaid. My family nearly went broke trying to cover her medical needs with private insurance. My daughter also relies on Medicaid for her caregivers. These amazing young women literally speak her native language: American Sign Language. Her caregivers are her life line! These workers are paid through a Medicaid waiver. Plus, without the expensive anti-seizure medications, my daughter might not be here. - Sarah P. from MD
