Black-and-white rough sketches of some people who look a bit like anthro birds (with arms and clawed hands in place of wings) and also have little sharp teeth in their beaks. About Bitkin: Bitkin are one-of-a-kind creatures who live in a world they're also in charge of. They roughly resemble animals but, depending how you look at it, they're either all the same species or all different ones. Anything more, you'll have to read the story to learn. Where's the story? All I see is a puzzle. The story is revealed gradually; solving a puzzle will give you a word to use as a key anywhere another page is locked by that puzzle's page code. For example, the first page has the code 00, which means whenever you see a lock elsewhere with the same 00 label, inputting the solution to the first page's puzzle will unlock that lock. Some pages have multiple locks. How do I navigate through the story? The ⏴ and ⏵ arrows above the story let you flip through the pages one by one, although any page that's still locked will tell you that it requires a password (and which one or ones it needs). You can also open a list of every page and navigate freely that way; a locked page will show as ⏴?⏵. Who made all this? The Bitkin story, characters, art, and puzzles were all created here at Ringoid Labs. Ringoid Labs is, of course, just a pseudonym, but it stands for a single person. Everything you see here was created with no AI assistance at all; Ringoid Labs believes that stories should be told and experiences should be created by beings who are capable of telling sincere stories and experiencing the full range of what a world offers, not just finding statistical patterns in text and images. Language models are incapable of self-reflection or true empathy, and these are essential elements for any creative work.

Fantasy merchant nation run by a collection of Guilds with a powerful navy. Ruled by a sovereign monarch who goes unseen and officially lives in "the Diamond Chamber", hidden away from the public. The Diamond Chamber has very tight security, but only up to a point. If anyone manages to sneak through the heavily guarded outer passages, they'll have a strangely easy time getting through to the Diamond Chamber itself, where it's revealed to be a large office staffed by about a hundred people, all of whom have swirly unfocused eyes and fixed grins as they fill out paperwork to pass to one another. This room is also filled with a gas bearing a disease called Ravin, whose existence is also secret. Ravin causes the swirly eyes and grins, and also suppresses a victim's personality, leaving them largely stripped of free will. These are who run the country in secret, using identical seal-stamps to "sign" documents; this nation is ruled by a kind of collective mind made of people who were skilled enough to get in, and since Ravin is visibly obvious and incurable, they can't get out.

August, a fuzzy draconic creature, goes through a transformation process giving him eight arms and four legs. His usual hat, shirt, and colorful necklace lay on the ground nearby (although his pants have stayed on his hind legs). It looks painful or at least awkward and unpleasant.
Dopple Bitkin is a gray creature with batlike wings, large hands and feet, long slender pointed ears, and a unicorn-like horn that acts as a radio antenna. A radar display is embedded into his chest, and his eyes likewise have bright green pupils in a dark gray background strewn with more streaks of green. His naval captain's cap bears a symbol of a satellite dish pointed upward (which coincidentally resembles an anchor).
August, a humanoid creature with a draconic snout and tail and large pointed ears, dressed in an undershirt with the Jupiter symbol on it beneath a long-sleeved coat, pants, and belt with a gridded buckle that matches the pattern on his flat cap.
