"Yes." Replied the Operator. "Is the Automaton that's currently locked up underneath the tech house." "Yes." "Six kills it in the future, and it cliffhangers into the past as a magical talking dog?" "Yes." "That same talking dog's past is our present." "Wrap it up." So, if we get the Beagle to kill Six now, it triggers a paradox since Six is supposed to kill it in our future. But since it simultaneously exists in two places in our present; if the beagle kills Six, before Six is supposed to kill its present tense, then the paradox is triggered." "That's the idea." "A bootstrap paradox into a Schrodinger's cat." That was the first thing Frank has said this entire meeting. "That sounds fucking ridiculous." Remarked John.
Chapter 12: The Price of The Pit What is a person, but a miserable pile of secrets? The things that ferment into desires both dark and pure. If the price to leave the pit are those secrets- those desires, then who or what is left behind when a person leaves? And is that person the same that entered the pit? For the Mocks, it was who they were before their abuse. But for Mock Lilly, each time she came back here, she left another individual behind. Murdering them in attempt to make a Mock Six. But after many failed attempts, she settled on getting the real Six and making her into a Mock instead. And after a failed attempt at Unbinding, Six was left screaming as she experienced life ending pain as Mock Lilly stabbed her with a surgeon's knife meant to separate atoms. Six's screams could be heard from outside the pit. Where BTA and Apostle could hear her screaming. Her body painfully splitting in two with Mock Lilly looking on with interest. "That's strange." She said. With one final rip, Six had split into two separate beings. The one on the table that was just stabbed had a name she's always had. Irmina
