Anyway we are now nearly three months down the line and they are refusing to hand over the presentation. Reasons given in the original response include that it "would prejudice, or would be likely to prejudice, the effective conduct of public affairs" and "inhibit free and frank exchange of views".

It is my argument that public interest very much outweighs the GMC's desire to hold these updates behind closed doors. The GMC are making decisions which have an impact on patient safety. We need to know what evidence they are considering and using to make these decisions.
