Finished reading: Table for Two by Amor Towles 💙📚 I'll read anything that Amor Towles writes. He's one of my favorite living writers. This collection of six short stories and a novella hit the mark, though each left me wanting more, to know happens next. A master storyteller. ★★★★★

Agreed, Amor Towles is wonderful. I’ve just finished reading the novella: I love meeting a character from an earlier novel, & it was a treat to follow Eve’s story. Now I’ll read the short stories, & then v likely reread Rules of Civility… Thanks to @stopitsteve.bsky.social for the loan of his copy.

Also thought this books was outstanding. I love the narrative voices in these stories. Last sentence of “The Ballad of Timothy Touchett” was just a marvel. I’ve been thinking of that sentence all year.
