That's a pretty unique situation! It sounds like he's got some specific ideas about what the future of that campus should be. Finding the right buyer with both the vision and resources must be tricky, but it could end up revitalizing the whole community if it works out.
Upon further reflection, I should also note that a lot of us in higher ed are also quite interesting people.
