Myth: The consent decree requires MPD get a “Cop City” Fact: MPD’s “Cop City” isn’t mandated by the consent decree. The MN Dept of Human Rights consent decree outlined how the City could meet MPD training needs with existing facilities and sharing spaces with partner agencies. The Frey administration has conceded their “Cop City” is not a legal requirement of the consent decree.

The two PACs spent $266,000 to support the five council members who voted against extending the pre-eviction notice. The two PACs also spent $110,000 in an unsuccessful effort to defeat the sponsor of the ordinance, council member Robin Wonsley.
