A screenshot of my letterboxd review for Out of a Forest (2010) Watched Feb 17, 2026 “ YouTube link: youtu.be/ZSOgl0H5VeM so I'm a billig fan of stop motion, and when I found out that a shitty christian band had a stop motion animated music video, I begrudgingly checked it out I thought the animation was nice, but the song was fucking garbage and heavily tainted my experience with the animation then I found out that the animation wasn't actually originally commissioned for the song (thank fuck) it was actually an original animation made back in 2010 for a pretty good song by The National called Slow Show, and these jackasses just yoinked it and slapped their temu-brand Scars to your Beautiful-sounding christian dogshit over it in place, and in 3 hours of releasing their shitty video (as of writing) has a quarter of a million views, whereas the original video at the top of this review only has 40k and all the comments are flooded by insufferable fans of that shitass band anyway, again, nice animation, not legendary, but like, I'm easy to impress when it comes to stop motion, this was fun, just watch the original oh and fuck the piece of shit frontman of that fuckass christian band who wrote a song about how kurt cobain is a loser who killed himself for attention “
