Based on Environment Canada records dating back to the late 1800s, Wednesday was the 7th-snowiest March day on record in Calgary. However, if the amount of snow that fell in my yard fell at the airport (where the main monitoring station is), it would have been the snowiest.

March and April seem to be the months that throw the hardest punches.

Talk about crazy weather. I am just on the other side of the Rockies from Calgary and my garlic is up 10". It is still March! I have never seen anything like this.....maybe garlic up an inch or so in March under the straw.
