Time to kick off an updated take of your grandma’s green bean casserole. No cream of mushroom soup here. Still plenty of fried onions. Couldn’t find celery salt so I’m burning down my secret stash of Old Bay.
Update on that cranberry sauce.
Cornbread muffins? In my Dutch Thanksgiving? It’s more likely than you think.
Remember this little guy for tomorrow. Pressing thin sliced potatoes in a cream sauce into a terrine that will chill overnight. Tomorrow I’ll cut it into cubes, dust two sides with Parmesan cheese, and sauté to finish.
A little twist on the sweet potato casserole - this will eventually be a warm salad with green lentils, goat cheese, and a brown butter vinaigrette. Have to say I nailed the brown butter on this one.
