A purple hairstreak butterfly rests momentarily in a bower of hazel leaves. The leaves cast a dappled shade on a timeless scene, as a gentle breeze moves the canopy to and fro, unfortunately making the butterfly totally out of focus despite the heroic efforts of the photographer who was balancing on top of a five-bar gate at the time.
