He was appointed as the Governor of the Bank of Canada in 2008 to navigate Canada through the most serious global economic crisis since the great depression of the 1930's by the government of the day.

He is as bipartisan as you can get and is probably one of the only potential leaders this country has had in decades who can bridge the divide growing in Canada. I believe Mark Carney would be the first Prime Minister in generations who would truly put country ahead of party.
He's smart, comes from humble roots, knows business, the economy, and has worked under conservative and liberal governments, and is considered to be one of the world's top professionals and business leaders.
This should be fun to watch. No matter what the result, things are going to get entertaining. I, personally, think he would make a fantastic Prime Minister and Leader for Canada no matter what party banner he ran under.
The Conservatives still use 2008 as an example of their economic prowess. It's going to very much be a case of pissing into the wind, and trying to dodge your pee...
Now, Mr. Pollievre will try to tear Mr. Carney down, but I wonder... how can he do that without tearing down Harper and discrediting their glorious appointment of Carney in 2008 to "save Canada's economy" nor for accepting the economic glory Carney delivered which led to their majority in 2011?
Mark Carney was responsible for not only saving our economy but is largely credited for delivering the Conservatives their majority government in 2011.
The only G7 nation that didn't have any banks collapse, under the watchful eye of the governor of the Bank of Canada... appointed by PM Harper, a Conservative (just making sure the point is really made).
Specifically Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Conservatives under which Pierre Pollievre was a minister. A minister who gave full support of this, and gleefully accepted the praise lauded on the government for saving Canada from the worst of the global economic crisis.
I don't think there's ever been a more important election in the history of Canadian politics, and I hope that the majority of Canadians see this. We absolutely can't allow Poilievre to get into power. I'm certain that it will have extremely dire consequences if he does.
