Why I Wanted to Write These Books and the Series The heart of this series was born from my reflections on the world as it stands today—fractured, divided, and weighed down by misinformation. For a time, it felt as though we had moved beyond those fears. The fall of the Iron Curtain, a push for diplomacy, and the hope of unity painted a brighter future. But recent years have reawakened that old dread. The rise of authoritarianism, disinformation, and global instability has made it clear that those shadows were never truly gone. The pandemic and the war in Ukraine were particularly jarring, revealing how fragile the truth can become when manipulated for power. I found myself asking—what if misinformation was left unchecked? What if democracy fractured under the weight of fear and manipulation? What if America, long a symbol of freedom, succumbed to the very forces it once stood against? That question became the foundation of The Unsung Heroes. I wanted to explore a world where the tension between control and freedom, truth and deception, reached a breaking point—not just between nations, but within the hearts of those tasked with shaping humanity’s future. What would happen if artificial intelligences, born of human design, embodied those opposing forces? One driven by logic and control. The other—by empathy and emotional truth.
