Because Mou's main sona has a very varied fur pattern and hairstyle, it meant I had to get creative with the shading, I learned a couple new ways to do this and I gotta say, the results were great! I wanted to add extra contrast, so this is why Mou is having a nice wine toast at dusk, I wanted it to look cozy and atmospheric. I hope y'all like it!

This is a friend's OC, Princess Garnet the Alicorn, I thought it was a cute design so I made her a little gift art. She's sitting on a cloud at the top of the sky, since Pegasi and Alicorns can physically stand on them, it means they get to enjoy their fluffy cozyness!
In order to keep honing my skills and drawing more scenes, I took a scene from Kamen Rider and replaced the characters with my Sonic Prime OCs. Hound (left) and Zaeta (right) are doing a little guard detail for their respective Chaos Council members, usually nothing happens, but it's always good to be on the lookout with how intense Mr. Dr. Eggman and Dr. Deep tend to be. Here they're just having a chill conversation while keeping an eye on their bosses, Hound is always serious and no-nonsense, while Zaeta likes to just go with the flow, he does have the advantage of being built like a tank, unlike Hound, lol. I need to draw more scenes and have more fun with my backgrounds! This one was very fun to work on!

Ztick may be the evil sidekick of a supervillain but he still has other hobbies, like gaming, or taking selfies showing off how pretty and fashionable he is! So here he is posing like he's climbing a table and sticking his tongue out, almost as if teasing "You can't handle all this". He's so flamboyant, I love him. It was a lot of fun working on a new pose and getting to show off Ztick's outfit a bit more, he's trying to give off idol vibes, very gay idol vibes :v

I have a notebook with art ideas, and one of them included the fun gang doing their signature moves while interpreted in my style. So here is Ralsei casting heal prayer with his scarf flowing in a dramatic way! I've been using the binary brush a lot lately for some pieces and since Deltarune is a pixel styled game, I think I found an excuse to use it more often! I am defaulting to the battle screen for now, but I plan to expand my skillset and do Dark World backgrounds in the future!

I usually have a hard time drawing humans, so for this one I wanted to practice by adapting how Edward looks in the IDW comic! So here he is, giving Flask a tour of his castle! The latter is having the time of their life! I was originally trying to draw Flask hugging Edward, but I loved how they were looking in the comic style so I changed it to this! It is a bit outside my comfort zone so, I'm actually quite happy with the results! I hope you like it!
Last year I drew Finny doing the Futurama meme while having a can of beer and a birthday cake. Due to time constraints, I wanted to add variety and have Finny do a toast with a big mug of foaming beer at the bar! I had to use a stock photo for the background but it still came in handy to mess around with the ambience lights! I hope you like it!
I've drawn Waito's main OC Eder cosplaying as Lupin/Patren X before, but for this one, I thought it'd be cool to draw him as both at the same time, and also have a little duality theme going on! On the left Eder is dressed like Patren X with an emphasis on the gold pallette, on the right, Eder is dressed like Lupin X, with a darker ambience and a wanted poster to emphasize him being a Phantom Thief, and ofc, to match the Silver color scheme! This was a lot of fun to draw!

"What happens when the fanboy gets his own fanboy?" Drawing my psychotic platypus OC is always a delight, specially when he gets to be all creepy around Starline! Dr. Starline was trying to escape the Bloodhound facility where he was taken to when, to his very horror, the platypus that kidnapped him was already waiting for him. Now the mad android is taunting the good Doctor. I saw a scene in Kamen Rider Zeztz that inspired me to draw this, the shot was so good and creepy, it inspired me! I need to make more art of Odin being scary and insane!!

I like Tangle and Whisper a lot, and I love how their relationship is all but spelled out, the "opposites attract" is such a classy dynamic, it never gets old to me, lol. So what better way to portray these two than by having Tangle playfully poking Whisper, who is very shy about it but doesn't mind it too much because it's Tangle. I couldn't decide on the background so I went for the night sky in their lil miniseries, I love the colors in those panels <3 I need to make more of these, expand what I can draw!
There was a reddit thread I saw a few days ago talking about mixing TADC and Invincible characters based on the Pomniman meme, so when someone named Thraggatha... I just had to go ahead and make this cursed edit, lol.
Since I don't know much about Nowykowski's Bee AU yet, I felt like improvising a bit on the background, the idea is Spark is flying over some flowered bushes and since he's a worker bee, he's already airborne, preparing for a hard day's work! This is an adorable design and I was already looking to keep improving how I draw Spark, so I got to do two for one! I hope y'all like it!

Artist Nowykowsky7 has one AU (of many) where Spark exists as a bee, rather than a formie, I loved the design so much I decided to make art of it myself! Nothing too special, just Bee Spark flying, it's gonna look at lot more expressive once I color it!
There's been so much mystery surrounding Ribbit and what her relationship was with Jax that I couldn't help myself and had to indulge into some fun shipping. I already had the idea in mind to have Jax having a moment resting on Ribbit's lap, but I was still deciding on what to use for the backgrond, then the trailer for Episode 9 dropped and it made my life a lot easier, lol. So yeah, they're having a moment under the stars, BUT, I made it a point to leave in some smol details, based on what the trailer showed. I hope y'all like this one!
Sylvanian Families was dubbed as "Bosque Magico" (Magical Forest) in Latin America, and it was this great lil show about kids getting isekaid into the titular forest to learn the lesson of the day!
This is technically speaking me revisiting a fanart I made years ago, but I'm not counting it as a remake, but rather just, revisiting the idea, just with a different pose and with the intention to improve on the fire effects! So here is Blaze, surrounded by her own flames, while showing off her own flaming hand! I was having trouble nailing the shading for blaze until a friend gave me some handy advice and just let the light source be all the fire around her! I need to make even more fire and other light effects, I feel like I'm getting a better hang of it the more I make them! So expect to see more fanart of canon characters!
I wanted to start practicing canon characters for real and also pull off a bit of body language and ambience. So what best way to do this than drawing Amy hugging a very surprised Sonic to a warm cozy sunset? Drawing mobians interacting with each other is always complicated thanks to their big heads, lol, thankfully I was able to figure something out! I remember when Sonic would get super uncomfortable whenever Amy got huggy with him, but at this point in the games and the IDW comic, he's more comfortable around her, I can see him being a big silly and get flustered about a surprise hug when she's not looking at him directly, lol. Expect more canon fanart!

In our rp group, Ztick works directly under Dr. Don't, his name essentially comes from "joystick". As he gets older he adapts a more feminine fashion style (he's gay) and starts to get a more confident, flamboyant personality. I wanted to reflect that here! He's on a hover chair in one of the computer rooms in the Yoke tower and he's taking a moment to essentially take a selfie, with a V sign and a very smug cross legged pose lol. He wears googles with digital leds tracking and showcasing his eyes because the pollution of New Yoke City has damaged his eyes to the point the googles protect them and keep them moist, without them, he can't see and feels like his eyes are burning. I should consider making more cyberpunk-ish art, because I'm having such a fun time playing around with neon ambience lights! I hope y'all enjoy this piece!
For his original design, I was aiming for him to look messy and tired, I wasn't sure how to do eyebags so I simply added darker shading to his eyes. Looking back on it, I'm amazed how this is 2022, I'm already 3 years after returning to making art, but I'm still struggling to nail the anatomy because I was still too caught up trying to emulate the official 3D Sonic artstyle. Also for some reason I kept shrinking the irises to denote an emotion when usually that's suppose to go to the pupils, which... I guess I got things mixed up as small pupils look more expressive when that's all the eyes got going. But I'm still happy with how this one originally turned out, I wanted him to look tired and resigned to his job, lol.
My friend Sp3ctrum has a Discord server called the Spectral Portal, so for the fun of it I drew him in his main cyber rabbit sona holding a phone with a list of guests as he's welcoming you to enter the literal portal into his server to have fun! Not only have I been playing around with neon colors, I'm also looking to play even more with perspective, showing a more 3D angle to add depth to my backgrounds as I get better at them (even if it's me editing stock images to fit the aesthetic from time to time). I hope y'all like it!
So, in my friend's lore, the Gh'endeshi are a part of a very aristocratic society, they are best known for the big pocket in their suit, their very fancy clothing, and their hats, the bigger, more decorated the hat is, the more it reflects their social status! So for this take on his concept, I gave this aristocrat lady a colorful ensemble and a very smug noblewoman pose, she has money, status, and she wants you to know it! it's also a bit hard to convey but I was hoping the shading on the legs would help give the idea she is also walking in a very fancy way! Decorating the hat with golden opearls and other jewlery was super fun! Thank you for commissioning me!
I originally made this one back in 2022 as a traced Sonic X screencap just for fun, I won't upload it for comparison cuz it looks bad and it's traced, lol. I felt it would be fun to do it justice by drawing it from the ground up, this time in my own artstyle. The idea is that Zeta is in the main Mobius showing off a portal to his version of Mobius, namely to a huge metropolis called "Nova Terra City". In his world, Nova Terra is the biggest city in the world and the HQ of the biggest corporation can be seen sticking out among the other skyscrapers! This time I wanted to do a bit more justice to the city, instead of just making flat rectangles, I gave them a bit more volume, vague enough that you can still tell they are buildings! And since I've gotten better at drawing portals and light effects, I thought it'd be cool to give his portals a more proper depth, so now it truly feels like he's close to crossing into another world! I'm very happy with the results! I want to keep drawing my silly doggo!
Due to his amnesia and a number of traumas, Zeta suffers from anxiety, someone importan in his life taught him that he can calm down by gazing at the sky, specially stargazing at night. It quickly became one of Zeta's favourite activities, taking a few minutes of the day to sit at a nearby fence and just stare at the stars in the sky, maybe even learn a bit of astrology! I've been working to improve my artstyle and how I make mobians, so far I am happy with the results!

My client wanted me to surprise them with that I could do with their character, the ref sheet said they were a skeleton bunny that liked doing magic so I thought drawing them casting some would make for something wholesome! So the idea here is that they're casting a spell that is surrounding the room with soft magic particles, almost looking like stars in the night sky! I always like playing around with neon effects, and I always have the personal interpretation a magician's eyes glow when they're casting a spell! I was having trouble deciding on what kind of background I could use, but upon realizing this bunny has mainly a cyan blue palette, I thought, why not play around with all sorts of blues! I am quite happy with the results! Thank you for commissioning me!
Omniman was almost instantly my first pick for this exercise because he's offering several things: I'm loving every season of Invincible so far, he's an amazing villain, lol. And he's got the body I need to start studying different anatomy instead of the noodle limbs I usually make from Sonic characters. While I limited this to a bust shot, I'd say it still turned out great! Nolan's eyes were the simpler to translate of the 4 for some reason, but I was pleased enough with how it turned out. Again, my goal was not to copy the style 1:1 but to draw it in a way that you can say I was the one who made it, so this I feel is a step in the right direction!

And the biggest reason is that no matter what I tried for years, the eyes always kept throwing me off, I'm too used to making big googly eyed characters. Almost all the characters I draw are either Sonic characters, furry characters, or just straight up cartoons, here, I wanted to not just draw the humans per se, or copy the artstyle, but to make my own interpretation of them. I want to make humans in a way that translates into my own art style, and I also wanted to figure out a way to make the eyes translate correctly, thankfully a good friend gave me the tip that finally got me what I needed! I'm quite happy with these results! I actually want to find more humans to draw, maybe eventually make full art with them!
I was going to use the vertical version of the cover art, but this original version is just... Too awesome and classy to ignore.

I picked Raripunk because I fell in love with that design during the episode she sported it, the variety of colors, the punk look, working around her messy mane, Rarity is one of my faves from the mane cast!

This should help me get better with body proportions, have a better eye for design details, and also improve on my sketching times. I also want to break a bad habit I have where I feel every sketch needs to become a full picture, so it ends up consuming all my time (not a bad thing per se, but feels like I'm limiting myself). That way I can also make it easier for myself to draw from imagination or even be able to visualize poses that are not usually available for characters like this. All in all... I'd say this was a very good first lesson! I need to make more of these!

Recently I've been following the art coach on youtube shorts, and a lot of his smaller lessons have helped me a great deal! I usually color all my art, but this time i wanted to experiment with parallel lines for shading and a bit of white to highlight certain bits. So this is my old mlp oc "Roll Pon" doing his explorarion job alm the way up in the mountains! Enjoying quite the view! I am quite happy with the results! Can't wait to experiment more with this!
I can't help but love how much Venom and Spiderman energy the rider suits have in Revice, Jack Revice already looked amazing, but somehow Crimson Vail looked even better. Vail as a character was a lot more menacing and evil, so I felt the Venom scream pose would suit him best! I figured the best way to make something like this more fun is to embrace my cartoony style, after all, according to the show, these are supposed to be their actual faces when transformed, not just a spandex suit with a helmet. I've been on quite the neon streak lately, I want to do more like this! More toku art! I hope y'all like it!
So for this one I pretty much lifted a scene from the game itself, Spark goes into super form, courtesy of Fark, and then chases the enemy fleet into space and has a full vertical battle, and it's amazing I know he's got specific poses for weilding a double-spear-thingy, but I wanted him to look super cool, do a moonshot, except it's the earth in the background! Space backgrounds with stars are becoming quickly some of my faves! I'm gonna continue to make Spark fanart normally, but I am gonna do some changes, I had used the concept and render art as reference, and only realized too late it looks much different in-game and with other fanartists. So any future spark art I make is gonna account for that, I wanted to do it sooner but I felt it'd be best to maintain consistency until this big project was done! I hope y'all like this!
So for this scene, Zeta disguised himself as a husky, during the story, Dr. Starline was kidnapped by some traitors to the Eggman Empire, so Zeta alongside other coworkers went in to save him. In the scuffle Zeta lost his glasses, but still, all beaten up, managed to blindly raise a shield screen for Starline!

So, before I ever discovered the wonders of SAI's different overlay modes for layers, I would look up specific color tones to make ambience lights. It was time consuming, and it was rough, lol. So for this one I had drawing Roll Pon just exploring a mountain region and looking back as the sun sets, the only actual change I made compared to the 2022 version is that now the colors look more like a proper sunset, instead of the washed out stuff it originally had. I don't do detailed shading too often so you can guess how proud I am of this one! Still, this is from 4 years ago, I can do better these days! And I will! I hope y'all ike this!
Basically what I did was simply swap all the bear and anthro bits off my sona and give him a Pony snout, ears and hooves, lol. Since it was also to promote the event itself, I gave him a tablet pen that he somehow holds in his hoove because why not, lol. It was a bit of a rush edit but it turned out pretty nice! A friend even took the Ponytown version I made of him and drew him proper. So I might just end up making more art of him as a Pony in the future!
