A chessman from the Lewis chessmen. He is a lovely little knight with a pointy helmet holding a sword upright in his right hand and a large (toe-to-shoulder) shield in his left. He is biting the top of his shield - you can see his little teeth - and looks terrified.

One horseman is firing a bow and arrow, one holds a spear, and a third raises his sword above his head in both hands. Amateur watercolor of a small orchid with two blooms. Gee, white flowers are hard. These orchids are mostly white with delicate pink centers. The green leaves surround them on the bottom and green stems wind and twist in an interesting fashion.
Watercolor of a rocky shoreline with ocean and distant islands on the horizon. The texture of the water and rocks was made by placing plastic wrap over the paint while it was wet and letting it dry. The rocky area was also scraped with a palette knife before the plastic was applied and, after it all dried, shadows were added to the rocks.

Contents of my latest St Louis Art Supply Mystery Box. Got some nice stuff here! A very nice wood and brass ball-point pen. A nice spiral bound notebook. Some Hannemuhle watercolor paper in a little pad and some watercolor paper cards. Tiny colored pencils. A Japanese bamboo pen. A kneaded eraser and a drawing pencil. Six skeins of DMC embroidery floss in a little storage container. An S-hook. And the green object is meant to help scrape off price stickers and such, saving your fingernails.
