I'm curious about Linear, being honest; because developers are not the decision-makers with a budget. Plus, when I looked at it, it just seemed like Jira with some of the crap removed.

Cool point, but the crisp duality kinda blurs over the reality that in product design: positioning "for who" --> "most useful" feature subset The former determines the latter

Absolutely. Which is why it irks me sometimes when people make comments about ‘competitive’ markets or product types. Theres always disruption happening for different reasons.
