I don't really understand the point of purchasing furniture new at retail prices when you have insane deals like this kicking around constantly. It feels like we've produced enough of this stuff to last our species lifetime.

I feel this way when seeing a lot of things--do we need more flowerpots packing the shelves of Home Hardware when there are probably billions of unused ones hiding in our homes? How many more coffee mugs does humanity actually need?
