Question: I've been doing a substantial amount of game dev for the past 6-8ish months and at the moment I've been struggling to figure out how to put the porn element into a game without disrupting the flow. I feel like if I don't come up with some clever idea itll be a clunky or satisfying experience. When you're designing a game how do you find harmony between the mechanics and sex? Answer: oo that's a really interesting question to unravel and don't feel discouraged for struggling - it's surprisingly tricksy Bigg has a bunch of interesting blogposts on the matter of adult videogames: www.bpgamesinc.com/blog/ I find that a lot of adult games struggle to reconcile the pornography with the gameplay, so you end up with experiences where both can be good in their own right but the end result is less than the sum of it's parts (visual novels struggle with the a lot less because with visual novels the story essentially is the gameplay) There's a couple common pitfalls that I'd encourage avoiding, or at very least weighing very carefully.
