It won't suprise you, but this image shows just how much people prefer that they have control over what they see in social media feeds, online shopping platforms, and all sorts of website formats. There's a bit of a mix in terms of people preferring governments versus companies having a say over what we see, but all 26 countries place individual choice at the top. But is it realistic? Do people really set their feeds manually and control other sites? Or do we say we want one thing and actually end up letting the decision being made for us?
