Those who rank LGBTQ issues as priority are probably queer themselves. Iirc about 8% of the electorate in 2024 were queer, that is a sizeable portion, and a further 88% voted for Harris.

So, the importance of "climate change and the environment" polls slightly above "LGBTQ rights" - and both poll well above abortion or immigration. Clearly, it makes *perfect* sense for the Dems to reduce any mentions to "N=GOP+1", going all the way back to the glorious successes of...2016.

I guess swing voters are mainly white - but aside from a reflection of their privilege and indifference regarding the last category, this is otherwise quite encouraging I’d still say tho that we should ALL be worried about bigotry and racism. It’s a terrible cancer that compromises the whole system

Even in so-progressive SF Bay Area I don't know anyone who gives shit about "banning trans kids from sport". The majority of people doesn't seem to care and the rest supports the ban.

And yet the hysteria over trans rights did drive a lot of votes to Trump in the general

Why would "assigning kids to sports teams" be a task that the United States Senate would have any role in whatsoever
