Top two are holly blue, on the left you can see the black dots on the underwing. Bottom four all common blue, the bright blue males and the chocolate females with a blue tinge on the body.

A lattice heath moth on ragwort yesterday, a very attractive day flying moth

High brown, dark green and silver washed fritillary underwings seen this week, all are so similar from their outer wing so an underwing helps to check which variety is seen!

A beautiful common blue at the top, and the smallest small copper I recall seeing!
Top: the Grand Hall where the ceremony took place, beautiful red brick buildings, my son in his masters robe, a clever crow and Old Joe, the tallest clock tower in England!
These fabulous day flying moths hover to feed like a hummingbird using a very long proboscis, they enjoy plants such as buddleia & lavender
