But I do wonder if a women or a person of color would maybe find it harder to move past something like this, just because their radar is more attuned to rejection.

In other words, I think it's important to acknowledge that even if the original intention is not discriminatory, the end result could still disproportionately affect minorities and hurt a community's inclusiveness.
