Stronger together As time passes after a traumatic community incident, people may experience a range of emotions throughout the days, weeks, and months ahead. How long it takes to cope largely depends on each person's unique experiences during and after the event. It can be hard to know where to start the healing process. While many eventually return to their normal routines, others may find this transition more challenging.
