You have 2 emerging ideas, #1 requires small up front capital investment (already made in the pandemic) is shown to increase productivity & improve morale. #2 involves gigantic investment, will alienate your workers, and as of yet has no path to ROI. So you can guess which one the CEOs pick:

3/2 and all the workers that were offered "a seat on the rocket" realized as our booster stage was ejected and we fell to earth that we were silly to think we were passengers... we were the fuel.

2/2 "just all out with no regard to safety, just maximize speed and damn the risks". Keep in mind we were running pharmaceutical testing that required review from clients and ultimately the FDA. It made no sense... until they dumped the company.

1/2 I recall working for a vc backed company and attending an all hands where the vc bros brought in the new CEO, and talked about how when they met him, he took them out on a closed track in his Lotus, and they were all like "We want you to run this company the way you ran that high end sportscar."
