a photograph of my latest painting. It features seven sandpiper birds playing and hunting for snacks in the surf close to the water's edge. Waves lap over a rocky formation in one section, and the sand is wet and reflective in front of the small rolling surf. Cool colors for the water include pale greens, turquoise, and blues. The wet sand is created from pale deep olive greens, and the drier sand from pale peach and salmon colors.
