The overwhelming scientific evidence is clear: vaccines do not cause autism. So why couldn’t Trump’s nominee for Surgeon General simply say that?

Why would any evidence be necessary its just basic logic and common sense

Maybe she's as opportunistic and stupid as most of the other Trump confidants?

Because she is a quack and a fraud, and has no business masquerading as a serious scientist/medical doctor/nominee.

Autism is rising… look to your GMO‘s, and all the food that the FDA allows through. Look at your pesticides that they are allowing to be sprayed on all the crops. Do some fucking research you twatzie
@dutchmansbreeches.bsky.social · Feb 25
Because she is not a serious candidate and is not capable of addressing serious matters. This is true for nearly every person this regime has nominated and sent to you for conformation. Each one has been an affront to our government.

Vaccines do cause some things.
@mgg517.bsky.social · Feb 25
Why couldn’t she say that vaccines prevent disease. Measles is surging. If she is not an MD she should never be Surgeon General Senator Cassidy, maybe you can have a little redemption here
David Ralin · Feb 26
We just need to return to the actual traditional qualifications to call someone a “surgeon” ie being born into a family of barbers.
Epremo · Feb 27
Surgeon General carries the rank of a 3-star vice-admiral, there are 2 requirements for the job: 1. be a member of the Regular Corps, U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS), & 2. have specialized training or significant experience in public health programs www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti....

Because she's not a real doctor. She's a "wellness influencer" who should never ever be put in charge of anything ever.

(Narrator voice) Because she is an unqualified crackpot who makes up medical opinions for clicks and likes.

Because A) They hate Americans and prefer them dead or B) love draining money from their own people going into debt paying follow up costs of a preventable disease

Trump nominees never say anything of substance or truth. So it begs to ask... Why is it that our Democrats continue to vote to confirm them? #Mind-boggling!
nomadRuss · Feb 25
For the millionth time - The medical community expanded the definition of autism to include not just those people who are profoundly affected (nonverbal, etc). Plus awareness has also grown. Thus more diagnoses NOT a "spread" of autism.
@lindaisee.bsky.social · Feb 25
B/C no one in the trump orbit can do anything except LIE. She should NOT be approved.
Wasup202X · Feb 26
Can we NEVER consider autism a problem?
@furryninja.bsky.social · Feb 25
Because every single member of the felon's Cabinet - and anyone he nominates - are crooks and quacks, just like him. Talk to your fellow Dems about voting against confirming unqualified, unserious people. They've done too much damage already.

They want to kill people. If you’re dumb enough to not follow the science then they will get rid of you. You know their eugenics program. They work in many ways. They want the perfect intelligent but controllable human.

@magicsany.bsky.social · Feb 26
No one trusts the experts or authority. They have no credibility- it is all about money. They will say anything to sell more vaccines. There is no accountability or transparency and therefore no trust.

@drbranom.bsky.social · Feb 27
They probably know that. But spreading that kind of delusions will keep their opossition occupied while they dig in to other deeds elsewhere. Alas smokescreens to hide their real aims.
Robert Democracy Illes · Feb 25
Caz if the nominee said that, that person would not be nominated to be Surgeon General.
Elizabeth · Feb 25
Have we determined if the rise is a true rise or just due to being able to diagnose it better? That’s a very important variable when looking at data to take in consideration.
Peter Garbutt · Feb 25
The fact we even have to assert that in 2026 is an affront to human intelligence.

Reminder: Means did not complete her residency, is not board-certified, and does not have an active medical license. She is loose with facts (at a minimum) and verifiably LIED to committee members repeatedly (past income sources, medical opinions published BY HER). She is untrustworthy and unfit!

Trump🤡 and the GOP are swiftly realizing their goal of making the 🇺🇸 a 3rd world country when it comes to the prevention of communicable diseases. Can we request them and their families to be first in line for impacts from chicken pox, measles, …. or polio 😳; or is it just for the rest of us?

Autism isn’t rising. It’s being diagnosed more frequently due to significant changes to the DSM, significantly expanded understanding of Autism, a significantly expanded self-advocacy and education community, and parents of autistic kids realizing where it came from (genetics). It’s not a problem…
